Russians struck the Kharkiv CHPP: advanced guided bombs used.
According to inkorr.com: On the night of October 21, Russian terrorists attacked Kharkiv using guided aerial bombs. The mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, reported numerous explosions in the city.
Consequences of the attack
According to preliminary data, the strikes were carried out in the Industrial District, and the consequences are currently being assessed. The private sector in this area sustained significant damage. A fire broke out at the scene, and four people were hospitalized due to severe stress.
Local media reports that the Russians targeted the city's critical infrastructure. It is noted that local CHPPs were also under attack.
Use of modernized weaponry
Let us not forget that Russian troops used modernized guided aerial bombs (GAB) for the first time in the Poltava region, located approximately 120 km from Kharkiv.
The previous use of this weapon was recorded on October 18, when strikes were made on the city of Lozova in the Kharkiv region. Experts note that this may indicate the use of hybrid weaponry with a range of up to 200 km.
The Russian side has modernized its guided aerial bombs by equipping them with a jet engine, significantly increasing their range. To effectively counter this, it is essential to shoot down not only the bombs themselves but also their carriers, emphasized military expert Ihor Romanenko.
Thus, during the attack on Kharkiv, Russian terrorists focused on critical infrastructure, including the private sector and local CHPPs. The use of modernized guided aerial bombs with a jet engine significantly increases their range.
