According to Novyny.live: In a combined assault using drones and missiles, Russian forces targeted Kyiv overnight on January 24. This attack resulted in multiple fires and direct impacts across the Ukrainian capital. This latest strike is part of a sustained Russian air campaign against Ukrainian cities that has intensified during the winter months.
Non-residential structures were hit in the Desnianskyi and Holosiivskyi districts. An office building was damaged in the Solomianskyi district, while fires broke out in garages and a fuel tanker in the Dniprovskyi district. Emergency medical services were dispatched to the Darnytskyi and Holosiivskyi districts, where a private home also sustained broken windows from the attack.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko urged residents to remain in shelters, stating that the city was under a massive enemy assault.
The attack on Kyiv represents a continuation of Russia's military actions, highlighting an escalation in the conflict and a growing threat to civilians.
