According to inkorr.com: The Sumy region is again under fire from the Russian military. They are striking infrastructure and residential areas using drones and aerial bombs. This was reported by
Glavkomreferring to the head of the Sumy regional military administration Oleg Grigorov.
One of the targets was a strike on a gas station in the Zarichne district of Sumy. Fortunately, casualties were avoided, but one woman was injured:
'Currently, one injured person is known – a 51-year-old woman. She is being examined by doctors, and necessary assistance is being provided', – noted Oleg Grigorov.
Damage to residential buildings
The enemy is also actively trying to hit the residential houses of local residents, causing damage in the private sector. Currently, an assessment of the extent of the destruction is ongoing.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that Russian attacks on Sumy, Chernihiv, and Poltava regions are due to the strategic significance of these areas.
The situation in the Sumy region remains tense. Continuous attacks by Russian troops indicate their plans to continue aggression due to the importance of these territories for Ukraine. Local authorities are taking measures to protect the population and eliminate the consequences of the strikes, but they need support at all levels.
