Kherson City Center Shelled by Russian Forces: One Dead, One Woman Rescued.
Strike on Kherson
According to UATV: On March 14, Russian troops launched an artillery attack on the heart of Kherson, targeting residential buildings. The shelling occurred around 10:00 AM, killing a 51-year-old man in the Inzhenerne district. While no other casualties were reported at the time of the update, the assault trapped a woman inside a home. Emergency workers from the State Emergency Service (SES) managed to rescue her.
“Today, around 10 in the morning, Russian forces rained fire on the center of Kherson. Once again, the occupiers chose residential buildings as their target,” stated Oleksandr Prokudin.
It is worth noting that during the night of March 14, the Russian military also carried out a combined strike on critical infrastructure facilities across Ukraine.
A 51-year-old man sustained injuries incompatible with life, as confirmed by Oleksandr Prokudin. The situation in the region remains tense, with attacks on residential areas fueling growing anxiety among residents.
Humanitarian Fallout
This assault on Kherson is part of a broader Russian strategy aimed at destabilizing Ukraine, particularly in regions already devastated by the fighting. Attacks on civilian targets—such as apartment blocks and infrastructure—create severe humanitarian crises and heighten public fear, highlighting the escalating challenges Ukraine faces amid the ongoing conflict.
