Recently, Russian occupiers launched a fake Telegram channel called 'Special Unit of Timur', which went live on October 31, 2025. According to the report, communication is conducted exclusively through the official channels of the Ukrainian military intelligence. This information has been confirmed by the Ministry of Defense.

'The Russians are trying to copy the pages of the units that are part of the 'Special Unit of Timur'. A fake page of the Russian volunteer corps has been registered on Telegram, to which more than 130 thousand users have subscribed,' the message states.

Russian propagandists are attempting to create disinformation for potential participants in the war, undermining trust in Ukrainian military structures and their activities. This could pose a serious threat to the country's security, complicating the recruitment of new volunteers to defend Ukraine.
