In Donetsk region, Russian troops shelled a thermal power plant, resulting in the death of one of the energy workers. This was reported by representatives of the Ministry of Energy.
According to information, this shelling occurred on the morning of December 9.
As a result of the shelling, the fitter of the plant, Kilyarov Volodymyr Viktorovych, born in 1959, was killed.
Two other workers of the plant were injured.
Also, in Donetsk, which is temporarily under occupation, an SUV exploded. It was possibly used by the head of Olenivka colony. As a result of the explosion, two people - a man and a woman - were injured. Russian media report that the Investigative Committee has already opened a criminal case and confirmed information about the injured. It is noted that as a result of the explosion, the head of the self-proclaimed 'DPR' Olenivka colony, Serhiy Yevsyukov, was killed, while his wife suffered serious injuries. Furthermore, explosives - about 100 grams of TNT - were planted under Yevsyukov's car.
It should be noted that in the past week, Russia has launched over 500 guided aerial bombs, more than 400 strike drones, and nearly 20 rockets of various types against Ukraine. President Zelensky emphasized that Ukrainian defenders repel air attacks by the occupiers daily.
It is worth mentioning that in autumn 2024, Russia launched four times more aerial targets than in autumn 2023.
