The Defense Forces deny information about the enemy breaking through the border in Sumy region. The head of the press service of the 15th mobile border unit, Ivan Shevtsov, stated that this is fake information created to destabilize the situation in Ukraine. The Defense Forces are holding their positions, and preparations for a breakthrough are not taking place.

Shevtsov explained that the nature and weather conditions allow for the possibility of the enemy's sabotage and reconnaissance groups entering. However, the border guards are always ready to meet the Russians. The large number of swamps and forests in the Sumy region complicate the breakthrough of enemy troops, but this creates favorable conditions for the work of saboteurs. Therefore, the border guards are making efforts to prevent the intrusion of enemy saboteurs.
During the exercises in Belarus, the press service of the State Border Guard Service stated that this does not pose a threat to Ukraine.
