Repressions in Russia continue

In the Russian Federation, citizens who do not support the 'special military operation' unleashed by Vladimir Putin against Ukraine continue to be punished.

Thus, a 31-year-old Russian woman, Margarita R., was sentenced under a popular article in present-day Russia — discrediting the Russian army.

The reason for the start of the Russian woman's persecution was her reaction to yet another attack by Ukrainian drones.

Why and how the Russian woman was sentenced

The investigation indicated in court that on July 18, Margarita was traveling on a vacation train from Samara to Adler.

During the drone attack on the Likhaya station in the Rostov region, the woman allegedly shouted 'That's what you get, Russians!'

In court, under pressure from security forces, Margarita admitted her guilt.

As a result, the court imposed a fine of 30,000 rubles (about 15,000 hryvnias) on her.

We remind you that we previously reported that

a Russian woman was sentenced for telling the truth about

Additionally, we reported that

a Russian student was jailed for donating
to Ukraine.

Events in the Russian Federation continue to reveal the scale of repression against citizens who express their views or do not support the official policy of the authorities. Courts inadvertently become instruments of pressure on the opposition and reflect a certain climate of fear and censorship in society.
