The Kharkiv region, bordering Russia, has been a frequent target since the full-scale invasion began in February 2022.

Regional Escalation

Russian forces struck Kharkiv and 12 other settlements in the oblast over a 24-hour period, marking a continuation of systematic attacks on the region. These events point to an intensification of the conflict and the growing dangers faced by the civilian population.

The situation in Kharkiv Oblast remains tense as shelling persists, exposing civilians to constant risk. Drone and artillery attacks on residential neighborhoods underscore the severe threats confronting local inhabitants and indicate a military escalation in the area. Authorities and humanitarian organizations continue efforts to provide aid to the victims and ensure the population's safety.
