Russian Strike on Dnipropetrovsk Region Injures at Least 10.
Dnipropetrovsk Region Targeted in Attack
According to Novyny.live: On March 10, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region, injuring at least ten people. One woman required hospitalization. The assault caused significant damage to civilian infrastructure in the city of Dnipro, where an administrative building, several multi-story residential buildings, and a car were hit. In the Sursko-Lytovska community, a private house was damaged, and a fire broke out in the Novooleksandrivska community.
Damage Spreads to Other Communities
The Nikopol, Marhanetska, and Pokrovska communities were also struck. In the Mykolaivska community, a bus was damaged. Dnipro's mayor, Boris Filatov, reported that at least eight apartment blocks in the city were damaged in this latest Russian attack. This region has been a frequent target due to its strategic location and industrial significance.
This incident in Dnipropetrovsk is part of a wider pattern of intensified attacks across Ukraine. The death toll from a recent strike in Kharkiv has risen to 11, while casualties have also increased in the Odesa region following attacks after March 4. The escalating situation continues to cause deep concern for local residents and authorities.
The attack underscores the ongoing aggression by Russian forces in Ukraine, which frequently target regions near the front lines in attempts to destabilize them. The shelling of civilian objects highlights the persistent risks to non-combatants and the destruction of vital infrastructure, which can have severe long-term consequences for local economies and security. Amid the continuing conflict, support from the state and international partners remains crucial for aiding recovery in affected areas and protecting the population.
