Intelligence reported when Russia will start deploying DPRK troops at the front.
President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that, according to intelligence, by October 27-28, North Korean troops will be deployed by Russia in combat zones. This is reported by Volodymyr Zelensky's Telegram channel.
Today, Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi reported to the president on the situation at the front. According to Zelensky, military brigades in Donetsk region are facing difficulties, but they are holding their positions and doing everything possible to repel the occupiers.
The president also reported on the Kursk operation being carried out by Ukrainian forces. The buffer zone on Russian territory secures Ukraine against Russian attempts to expand the war in the east of the country and results in accounted losses for Russia.
Zelensky also stated Russia's involvement of North Korean military personnel. According to intelligence, by October 27-28, the first North Korean troops will be deployed by Russia in combat zones. This is a clear escalating step by Russia, demonstrating its intent to continue the war. Zelensky calls on world leaders to clearly understand these intentions and take strong responsive actions.
Thereafter, the president noted the need for a principled reaction to the factual involvement of North Korea in the fighting. The response should entail tangible pressure on Russia and Pyongyang to adhere to the UN Charter and punish them for escalation.
It is known that North Korean troops have already arrived in the combat zone, particularly in the Kursk region. This is reported by the Main Directorate of Intelligence. The training of North Korean soldiers has been ongoing for several weeks.
It is known that North Korea has already sent about 3,000 troops to Russia to support Russian occupiers in the war against Ukraine.
It is also worth noting that the Russian State Duma has ratified the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Russia and the DPRK, which provides for mutual military assistance.
