According to inkorr.com: Ukrainian activist Turarbek Kusaïnov accused the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) of having a significant influence on Kazakhstan. In his opinion, the ROC has considerable sway over Central Asia, and the Orthodox Church of Kazakhstan acts as an instrument of Russian propaganda and ideology.
Kusaïnov also expressed his outrage over the ban on holding a rally against the visit of Patriarch Kirill, whom he holds responsible for the bloodshed in Ukraine.
The activist noted that Russian mass propaganda negatively affects the Orthodox population of Northern Kazakhstan, which could threaten the country's independence and cultural identity. He emphasized that in an ideological vacuum, people often seek validation of their identity in the online space.
