The United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio had a conversation with Special Envoy Steve Vitkoff. The day before, he met with the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
What Rubio said after the conversation with Vitkoff
The US Secretary of State stated that several more discussions will take place throughout the day.
'Some announcements will be made soon. They may be positive, or they may not be; we will see', — added Rubio.
Recall that on August 6, Vitkoff held a meeting with Putin in Moscow. In particular, they discussed the war in Ukraine.
Later, Axios correspondent Barak Ravid reported that US leader Donald Trump is having a telephone conversation with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
Key US officials held a series of meetings and discussions where possible positive statements were announced for the future. In addition, telephone dialogues have begun between the US and Ukrainian leadership for further cooperation.Read also
