Rubio stated that Trump is 'ready for anything' to end the war in Ukraine.
Marco Rubio: the war with Ukraine must be resolved diplomatically
The US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Russia's war against Ukraine cannot end through military means; instead, diplomacy is needed. He made this remark during a meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Turkey on May 15.
'Whatever the mechanism, whatever the process, it must happen,' Rubio noted.
At the same time, he emphasized that US President Donald Trump wants to end the conflict in Ukraine as soon as possible and highlighted the importance of negotiations. 'So there's a lot of work to be done. We remain committed to this. Of course, like everyone else, we are impatient, we want it to happen, but it's difficult. But, you know, we hope that progress will be made soon,' the Secretary of State explained.
As a reminder, Sibiga discussed the advancement of the peace process with Rutte in Antalya.
Analyzing Marco Rubio's statements, it can be said that diplomatic resolution of the conflict in Ukraine is important for the US. Diplomatic efforts can contribute to resolving the situation and lead to a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
