Romania Blames Russia for Drone Strike on Residential Building, Injuring Two.
Drone Incident in Galați
According to Espreso.tv: Romanian President Nicușor Dan has accused Russia of being responsible for a drone that struck a residential apartment block in Galați, leaving two Romanian citizens injured. The attack occurred on the night of May 29, 2023, when a Russian drone crashed onto the roof of a multi-story building in the city of Galați, causing injuries to two locals. In response, the Russian consul general in Constanța has been declared persona non grata, and the Russian consulate in Galați is being shut down. President Dan stated:
'We experienced a serious incident last night that resulted in injuries to two Romanian citizens, and full responsibility for this lies with Russia.' Nicușor Dan, President of Romania
