Ryanair will fine passengers for hand luggage more often.
The airline Ryanair will pay more for checking hand luggage sizes
The airline Ryanair is considering increasing bonuses paid to staff for detecting excess hand luggage sizes. Currently, these bonuses amount to about 80 euros per month.
This is reported by The Sun.
New motivation for Ryanair staff
It is reported that currently the airline pays staff approximately 1.50 euros for not allowing passengers with oversized hand luggage on board. In particular, these bonuses currently do not exceed 80 euros per month.
Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary noted that the airline's fares will remain at 2023 levels, but there are plans to increase revenue by reducing costs.
'We are happy to incentivize our staff with a share of the charge for excess baggage, which we believe will increase over the next year or two,' O'Leary said.
It is worth mentioning that without additional payment, Ryanair passengers can only take a bag measuring 40×25×20 cm. The free hand luggage must weigh no more than 10 kg and fit under the seat in front of the passenger.

Increasing bonuses for Ryanair staff for monitoring hand luggage sizes will be a new motivation for airline employees, allowing passengers to save additional funds while supporting brand loyalty.
