In Lviv, Youth Day this year was celebrated by honoring military personnel, veterans, volunteers, and activists. A solemn award ceremony for the 'Brave' prize and a new special recognition for those who strengthen Ukraine took place in the courtyard of the City Hall. Mayor Andriy Sadovyi emphasized that it is thanks to such young people that Ukraine will stand firm. 'Today, in the courtyard of the City Hall, we have awarded the 'Brave' prize for the fourth time — an accolade for young military personnel, veterans, and volunteers who are changing the country even in the most challenging times,' said the Mayor of Lviv. The Mayor pointed out that this year, when Lviv became the Youth Capital of Europe, a special recognition was also established for those who contribute notable and valuable work in various fields. These individuals help the city and country become stronger in science, medicine, service, and the public sphere. 'I just returned from the East, and I am even more convinced that we will stand firm because we have such youth. You inspire and give strength every day. Thank you to everyone for your courage and love for Ukraine. Glory to Ukraine!' emphasized Sadovyi. It is noteworthy that the Mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, visited the positions of defenders in the Donetsk direction. The warriors received military assistance from the city council amounting to 8.6 million hryvnias. On Monday, August 4, an explosion occurred at a hotel in Lviv, caused by the detonation of an electric scooter battery. During the celebration of Youth Day in Lviv, the 'Brave' prize and awards for active civic activities were presented, honoring young soldiers, veterans, volunteers, and activists who are transforming the country even in difficult times. The celebrations reminded everyone how important it is to care for strong communities and Ukraine's gratitude to them for this.
