At Nusr-Et restaurant in London, steaks sold for up to £1,450, and some bills reached £37,000. However, in 2021, the branch earned £7 million, and the annual profit rose to £10 million last year.
However, according to recent reports, the company reported a loss of £5.5 million before tax for 2024. This came after the reassessment of American assets at £6.6 million, classified as 'exceptional costs.' Due to this situation, the American division had to close one restaurant in New York and another in Boston last year.
Change in Business Strategy
In January of this year, the chain closed restaurants in Dallas and Las Vegas, and in June—in Beverly Hills. The closures were part of new strategic changes aimed at 'international growth.' The chain now has only two restaurants left in the U.S. instead of seven.
Despite the losses, the company has over £2.3 million in reserves, though this is less than £8.1 million in 2023.
