Additional assistance for pensioners on the front lines
To support elderly people living on the front lines, international organizations will provide additional assistance in the form of payments for solid fuel. This information was made public by the head of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, Yevhen Kapinus, in a special interview for 24 Channel. He emphasized that the assistance will be targeted at the most vulnerable categories of the population living in frontline regions. The head of the Pension Fund also reported that the right to receive assistance for solid fuel will be granted to single, non-working pensioners residing in the specified regions who heat their homes with solid fuel. Thus, payments will go to pensioners from nine regions of Ukraine who use solid fuel for heating. It is also worth noting that as of October, a system of age-related pension supplements has already been functioning in Ukraine.Importantly, this initiative is aimed at supporting those who need help the most in wartime, ensuring elderly people have the ability to heat their homes during difficult times. It also demonstrates the efforts of the state and international organizations to overcome the social challenges faced by citizens in frontline regions.Read also
