SBU: Possible Involvement of Russian Special Services in the Murder of Parubiy.
According to inkorr.com: The Security Service of Ukraine reported a possible involvement of Russian special services in the murder of people's deputy Andriy Parubiy. According to the provided information, the crime was ordered, and the investigation points to a likely 'Russian trace'. This information was confirmed by the head of the SBU department in the Lviv region, Vadym Onyshchenko.
Investigation and Arrest
Onyshchenko noted that the involvement of Russian special services became known as a result of operational actions after the arrest of the suspect. Currently, the SBU, together with the National Police and the Office of the General Prosecutor, is checking all possible participants in this crime.
“The crime has the characteristics of a commissioned nature. There is operational information indicating a possible involvement of Russian special services in organizing the murder,” emphasized Onyshchenko.
Charges and Versions
The suspect was able to be arrested less than a day after the crime, and the identity was established within 36 hours. He has already been charged with intentional murder and illegal handling of weapons in accordance with Ukrainian legislation.
Deputy Head of the National Police Andriy Nebytov called the version of the Russian trace a priority in the investigation. Investigators are focusing on information about a possible order from Russia and are actively working to confirm this version.
“We do not rule out the possibility that the suspect attempted to flee abroad. This is being investigated,” added Nebytov.
At the moment, charges have only been filed against one man — a Lviv resident born in 1973, who lived in Lviv and worked unofficially.
Thus, Ukrainian law enforcement is actively investigating the murder of the people's deputy, focusing on a possible Russian trace. The police do not rule out that the suspect may attempt to flee abroad. Currently, charges have only been filed against one of the individuals, a Lviv resident who engaged in part-time work.
