Ukrainian streaming services are removing films featuring Kolokolnikov: what will disappear from views.
Removal of films featuring the Russian actor
According to inkorr.com: Online movie theaters and streaming platforms in Ukraine have begun removing films and series featuring the Russian actor Yuri Kolokolnikov. This decision is the result of his inclusion in the "black list" of individuals posing a threat to national security. The initiative for this move was put forward by the Security Service of Ukraine and the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy.
"Game of Thrones" (season 4), "The White Lotus" (season 3), Christopher Nolan's film "Tenet", superhero action film "Kraven".
The Ministry noted that this decision aligns with the law "On Cinematography" and aims to implement measures aimed at excluding content involving individuals who may threaten the national security of Ukraine. Simultaneously, negotiations have begun to restrict access to this content on international platforms.
This decision emphasizes the importance of adhering to legislation and protecting the national security of the country, as well as the responsibility of streaming platforms to comply with Ukrainian norms.
The removal of works involving Kolokolnikov and other actors included in the 'black list' signifies the intensification of efforts by Ukrainian authorities to protect national interests. This may also impact the content offered by international platforms and lead to changes in the perception of Russian actors in light of current events in Ukraine.
