SBU detained the chief psychiatrist of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who has become richer by over $1 million during the war.

The Deputy Head of the Central Military Medical Commission, who is the chief psychiatrist of the Armed Forces, was detained by the Security Service. His task was to determine the fitness of soldiers for service. This was reported by the SBU.

According to the investigation, during the invasion, Oleg Druzh earned over $1 million unjustifiably. He did not declare this property and registered it under relatives, such as his wife, daughter, sons, and others.

According to the investigation, the detainee purchased the following property during 2022-2024:

• two apartments in Kyiv;
• a private house in the Obukhiv district of Kyiv region;
• one apartment in Odesa;
• two plots of land in the Obukhiv district of Kyiv region;
• BMW X7 2024 model;
• BMW X7 2022 model;
• BMW X5 2023 model;
• BMW X3 2022 model.

During the searches, the SBU police found $152,000 and 34,000 euros.

The suspect will now be charged under the following articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

• Art. 368-5 (illegal enrichment);
• Art. 366-2 (declaration of false information).

Currently, the issue of choosing a preventive measure and imposing a freeze on the official's assets is being resolved. For committing the specified crimes, a punishment of up to 10 years in prison is provided.

Recall that the State Bureau of Investigation announced suspicion against the head of one of the commands of the Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces, the head of the department in this command, and the former director of a private enterprise. They caused damage to the state in the amount of over 83 million UAH during the procurement of spare parts for armored vehicles.

Earlier, detectives of the Bureau of Economic Security of Kyiv reported suspicion against the head of the command management of the Support Forces of the Armed Forces, who embezzled state funds.

It is also worth mentioning that employees of the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police stopped an attempt to assassinate the First Deputy Minister of Health Serhiy Dubrov. The criminals were detained while attempting to acquire weapons to commit the crime.
