It is planned that Australia will have over 200 Tomahawk missiles deployed on various military platforms, including Hobart-class destroyers and Virginia-class submarines. Additionally, depending on the technical and economic justification, the missiles may be placed on Hunter-class frigates.

The news about the armament with Tomahawks was accompanied by another important piece of information - Ukraine will receive military aid from Australia amounting to $245 million. In particular, dozens of Abrams tanks will be sent to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, significantly enhancing their firepower and mobility.

The Minister of Defense Industry, Pat Conroy, stated that Australia supports Ukraine in its struggle against Russia's illegal invasion. He emphasized that these tanks will complement the support provided by other partners to Ukrainian armored brigades and will provide more capabilities for the country's defense.
