Another child returned from Russian occupation: how a 13-year-old girl was rescued.
Another child has been successfully returned from Russian captivity. This was made possible thanks to the initiative of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Bring Kids Back UA.
This was reported on his Telegram channel by the Head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak.
How the child was rescued
Yermak reported that the 13-year-old girl was located in a territory temporarily occupied by Russians. However, throughout her three years in captivity, she dreamed of moving to her grandparents, who live in the territory controlled by Ukraine.
The girl constantly communicated with her relatives throughout her three years and did not lose hope of moving to them.
'After long doubts, the girl finally decided to leave, which ended successfully — today the child is safe and with her relatives,' — wrote Andriy Yermak.
He expressed gratitude to the Helping to Leave team for their assistance in rescuing the child. Yermak noted that the Ukrainian authorities continue to carry out President Zelenskyy’s task to bring all little Ukrainians home.
Earlier, it became known that four more Ukrainian children were returned from Russian occupation to the territory controlled by Ukraine. Among them is a 15-year-old girl who stubbornly wore vyshyvanka to the occupation school.
It is worth noting that Ukrainian intelligence recently obtained new evidence of the abduction of Ukrainian children by Russians from temporarily occupied territories.
Utilizing the Bring Kids Back UA initiative, the President of Ukraine and his team continue to fulfill their desire to bring all Ukrainian children home from Russian captivity. The latest successful case is the return of a 13-year-old girl who was able to be near her family again after years of Russian subjugation.Read also
