The average pension in Ukraine has increased to 6437 hryvnias: new data from the Pension Fund.
According to inkorr.com: In Ukraine, a new increase in the average pension has been recorded. As of October 1, 2025, the average amount of pension payments is 6,436.79 UAH, which is more than 6,410.17 UAH in July. This was
reported by the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
How many pensioners are there in Ukraine in 2025
At the beginning of October, there are 10.2 million pensioners in Ukraine, of which 2.8 million continue to work. In this category, there is a significant increase: the average pension of working pensioners has risen to 7,069.37 UAH, compared to 6,974.61 UAH in July.
What is the amount of pensions for Ukrainians in 2025
The structure of pension payments is as follows:
- 3.6% of pensioners receive up to 3,000 UAH;
- 31.6% receive from 3,001 to 4,000 UAH;
- 20.6% receive from 4,001 to 5,000 UAH;
- 29.1% receive from 5,001 to 10,000 UAH;
- 15% receive more than 10,000 UAH.
In most cases, pensioners (73%) receive old-age payments, while 14.5% receive due to disability. Although the average figure has increased somewhat, over half of pensioners (55.8%) have pensions below 5,000 UAH, which is still below the actual subsistence minimum.
According to the Ministry of Finance, in January-September 2025, 285.5 billion UAH was allocated for social payments. All payments are made on time and in full, ensuring their stability even in difficult economic conditions.
We remind that it was previously reported that
the minimum pension will increase in 2026. The Ministry of Social Policy, together with the Pension Fund of Ukraine, is working on a new formula that will allow linking payments to real economic indicators.
Thus, the pension system in Ukraine continues to adapt to changes in the economy, and the new data indicates positive trends. The increase in the average pension, although not significant, may provide a basis for improving the living conditions of many Ukrainian citizens. It is important to monitor further changes in pension provision, as they affect social stability in the country.
