During his speech at the China-CELAC forum in Beijing, Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed strong criticism regarding the tariff policy of US President Donald Trump. He noted that neither side can win in a trade war, and any attempts to pressure or dominate will only lead to isolation.
After the agreement between China and the USA on joint tariff reduction for 90 days, the Chinese president spoke at the China-CELAC forum, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and unity for maintaining international peace and stability. The forum, which brought together over 30 countries, became the venue where the Chinese leader expressed his views on inter-state cooperation.
Representatives of the White House did not respond to Xi Jinping's statement on tariffs, leaving the issue without comment.
