On Friday, August 8, new political consultations will begin in Chernivtsi between Ukraine, Romania and Moldova. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine
Andrii Sybihareported that this time representatives of Poland and Lithuania will be involved in the negotiations. This expansion of the format is aimed at strengthening the security of the Baltic-Black Sea region.

Andrii Sybihanoted that the involvement of Warsaw and Vilnius is a logical step towards a joint regional strategy. 'This is a signal that security in the Baltic-Black Sea region is indivisible — in the common interests of security, good neighborliness and European integration,' he emphasized.
According to the Minister, the agenda will include coordination of efforts to counter Russian aggression, protect critical infrastructure and develop transnational transport and energy corridors. 'We have specific proposals on how to strengthen ties and security in the Black Sea basin,' added
Sybiha, stressing the importance of training Ukrainian military in Romania and joint projects in the energy sector. Political consultations between Ukraine, Romania, Moldova, Poland and Lithuania are expanding in order to strengthen security and cooperation in the Baltic-Black Sea region. The participation of additional countries in these negotiations is expected to create favorable conditions for joint actions against threats and enhancing security in the region.
