The Russian Armed Forces attempted to capture the crossing over the Oskil River in the Kupyansk direction in Kharkiv region. However, the enemy's attack was repelled. This information was provided by the National Guard.

The Russian troops tried to continue their advance on the left bank of the Oskil River, utilizing several units of armored vehicles. But thanks to the joint actions of the Achilles combat drone battalion along with the guards of the Bureviy brigade and the border guards of the Pomsta brigade, as well as paratroopers of the 77th Separate Airmobile Brigade, the enemy's advance was halted.

The Ukrainian military managed to destroy 8 infantry fighting vehicles, 3 tanks, and damage 6 more IFVs. Additionally, 21 Russian servicemen were eliminated, and 26 others were wounded.

According to the General Staff, the Russians conducted 16 attacks in the Kupyansk direction. The defensive forces repelled enemy attacks near Kucheryvka, Kolisnykivka, Kruhlyakivka, and Lozova.

Earlier, fighters of the Achilles battalion showed how they destroyed 17 units of Russian equipment near Kruhlyakivka.

Analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) noted that the occupiers are actively operating in Donetsk region and continue their offensive in the Kursk region. However, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have achieved partial successes in the Kupyansk direction.

Recently, Russian troops advanced on the territory of the main "Ukrainian bridgehead" in the Kursk region and have continued fighting in this area since October 19. Geolocation images from October 18 show that Russian forces continued their advance west of Ruska Konopelka, which is located east of Sudzha.
