Lieutenant General Curtis Buzzard Meets with Oleksandr Syrskyi

According to UATV: During a meeting with Lieutenant General Curtis Buzzard, Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi disclosed the heavy toll Russia is paying for territorial gains in the Donetsk region, while also highlighting critical shortages in Ukraine’s air defense systems. According to Syrskyi, for every square kilometer of land seized, the Russian military loses over 400 soldiers.

Syrskyi further reported that Ukrainian defense forces are actively striking Russian military-industrial targets at distances of up to 2,000 km. As part of Operation Middle Strike, logistics networks 200–300 km from the front line are being systematically dismantled. These operations demonstrate ongoing efforts to curb aggression and degrade the enemy’s operational capabilities.

Gratitude to Partners and Military Assistance

The Commander-in-Chief also expressed appreciation to international partners for their continued support in supplying weapons and ammunition. He stated:

“We greatly value the persistent efforts of our partners to find ways to promptly meet our requests for weapons and ammunition.” — Oleksandr Syrskyi

Syrskyi commented on the U.S. president’s announcement at the NATO summit regarding a license for Ukraine to produce Patriot missiles, calling it “quite promising.”

The meeting between General Buzzard and Oleksandr Syrskyi underscores the importance of international support and cooperation in Ukraine’s fight for independence.

This discussion highlights the urgency of military aid for Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict. Information about Russia’s significant losses may influence future strategic decisions on both sides. Ukraine continues to actively seek ways to strengthen its defense capabilities and engage global partners in countering aggression.
