Russia Plans to Enlist 409,000 New Troops by 2026, Says Ukraine's Top Commander.
Moscow Ramps Up Military Recruitment for Intensified Assaults on Ukrainian Frontlines
According to Novyny.live: Ukraine's Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi has revealed that Russia aims to recruit 409,000 soldiers in 2026. This signals a significant escalation in Russian offensive operations along the front. According to the report, Moscow is currently enlisting roughly 40,000 to 45,000 men each month, underscoring the aggressor nation's serious military ambitions.
Notably, this recruitment drive is not limited to Russian soil. It also extends to temporarily occupied territories, where over 3,500 men have already been forcibly mobilized. These developments could dramatically alter the battlefield dynamics and challenge Ukraine's defensive resilience.
Oleksandr Syrskyi: 'There are problematic issues—we have identified specific solutions and deadlines for their implementation. The quality and speed of this work will determine not only the stability of our defense but also the lives of our soldiers.'
The surge in Russian troop numbers on the front may indicate an impending intensification of the conflict, heightening risks for Ukrainian forces. This also highlights the urgent need for the Ukrainian army to enhance its preparation and adapt to emerging threats, particularly by refining strategic decisions and operational tactics.
In the context of modern warfare, timely responses to enemy shifts are critical for safeguarding Ukraine's national security.
