Syrsky first reacted to statements about the transfer of Air Force personnel to the infantry.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine discussed the transfer of military personnel to the infantry
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, explained the reason for the transfer of some servicemen to the infantry. He noted that this decision does not apply to highly qualified personnel of the Air Forces of Ukraine. In his interview, Syrsky stated that his order does not allow the transfer of specialists who have experience and skills in aircraft servicing.
However, we need a larger number of personnel in our mechanized brigades at the front. Mobilization capabilities do not provide this, so we allow the reduction of the logistical staff and part of the support of the troops, as well as some personnel involved in service maintenance.
In the conversation, Syrsky mentioned that the General Staff of the Armed Forces conducted calculations and has plans to address current issues. They will not allow the transfer of servicemen who are prohibited from being transferred to the front. The Commander-in-Chief emphasized that the transfer of specialists from the engineering-aviation service to other military units will not occur.
The General Staff previously reported that the transfer of Air Force personnel to ground brigades is not part of the plan. There are also no plans to transfer specialists who have been trained abroad or have irreplaceable skills. The Air Force commission is studying information about transferring servicemen with scarce specialties to other military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
