Presenter Anatolych Condemns Singer's Alleged Role in Evading Ukraine's Wartime Travel Ban
According to TSN.ua: A major scandal has erupted in Ukraine concerning singer Petro Chorny, who is suspected of involvement in schemes to illegally transport Ukrainian men abroad during the ongoing state of martial law. Presenter Anatoliy Anatolych has spoken out against such operations, labeling them cynical and damaging to the entire entertainment industry's reputation.
An investigation by journalists from Bihus.info has uncovered evidence suggesting Petro Chorny may have facilitated the illegal departure of at least five men. A key finding involves Serhiy Matusov, an acquaintance of the singer, who reportedly applied to the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA) for travel permits from June 2025 to January 2026. Notably, several of the men who traveled abroad under these circumstances did not return to Ukraine. One individual involved in the case even claimed to have paid approximately five thousand dollars for the opportunity to leave the country.
Anatoliy Anatolych's Commentary
Commenting on the situation, Anatoliy Anatolych emphasized that such actions undermine public trust in artists who travel abroad legitimately to fulfill professional engagements. He stated:
“This casts a shadow over the entire industry, because a huge number of artists, dancers, and presenters travel abroad for various concerts legitimately.” – Anatoliy Anatolych
In response to the allegations, Petro Chorny himself declared: 'Close your mouth when Petro Chorny is speaking.'
The scandal continues to provoke significant public debate, raising serious questions about ethics and legality regarding the departure of Ukrainian men during wartime. This incident highlights a broader issue concerning adherence to ethical standards and the legal framework governing travel from Ukraine under martial law. With the security situation remaining tense, the legitimacy of such departures is a matter of intense public concern. The public backlash against Mr. Chorny's alleged actions could influence future policy decisions on travel controls and oversight of artists and others in the entertainment sector.
