Scandal with the 155th Brigade: Commander of the Ground Forces Responded.
Major General Mykhailo Drapatiy, Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, expressed his opinion on the situation surrounding the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade during a national telethon.
«A number of facts took place. I negatively relate to all these manifestations and to the fact that everything that could be fixed on site by all levels of management was not done. This means by all commanders and commanders,» – he stated.
According to Drapatiy, the success of the personnel depends on the influence of the command. He emphasized that work is being done to improve command and he is confident that these problems will be resolved over time.
Situation around the 155th Brigade
One of the most modern brigades of the Ukrainian army, the 155th Mechanized Brigade, returned to Ukraine after three months of training in Poland and France. According to Forbes analyst David Ax, this brigade is the best and most heavily armed among the new brigades created in recent months in Ukraine. However, it lacks critical equipment – drones.
It has also become known that several dozen Ukrainian soldiers who underwent training in France deserted.
Inspection of the Ground Forces Command
The Main Inspection of the Ministry of Defense will conduct a comprehensive analysis of the command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including an analysis of the organizational structure and powers, an assessment of the effectiveness of management processes, and compliance with legislation.
Based on the results of the inspection, the Ministry of Defense will implement reforms in the management system and personnel policy of the Ground Forces command, in particular, optimizing management processes and enhancing the combat readiness of units through new approaches to training.
