Fines up to 100 thousand: how many times can the military registration and enlistment office punish for not appearing at the summons.
Ukrainian laws during mobilization do not limit the number of fines that can be imposed on conscripts for ignoring summonses. This was stated by lawyer Iryna Bosa.
An important aspect is adherence to mobilization preparation during martial law. Failure to appear at the military registration and enlistment office after a summons can lead to fines ranging from 5100 to 8500 UAH, and for repeated violations - from 8500 to 11900 UAH.
How many times can the military registration and enlistment office impose fines
The law does not limit the number of fines for not appearing at the military registration and enlistment office. Each individual failure to appear is considered a separate violation for which a fine can be imposed. However, having valid reasons may exempt a person from liability.
What is important to know about criminal liability
In case of evading mobilization, a person can be deprived of liberty for 3-5 years. For this, three conditions must be met: passing the medical commission, receiving a summons, and having the intention to evade.
Is there a possibility to appeal the fine
A person has the right to appeal fines in court within 10 days. Often, courts cancel fines due to violations in the procedures of delivering summonses or insufficient information.
Iryna Bosa emphasizes that Ukrainian laws do not limit the number of fines for ignoring summonses during mobilization. Not appearing can lead to serious financial losses, and in case of evading mobilization - even deprivation of liberty. However, if there are objective reasons preventing appearance, one can try to appeal the fine in court.
