Slovakia: dozens injured in new train accident in a month.
According to inkorr.com: On the evening of November 9, an accident involving two trains occurred in Slovakia, resulting in dozens of passengers being injured. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing Reuters.
Details of the incident
Interior Minister Matúš Sutaj Eštok mentioned that there were many injured, and 11 people were hospitalized. Fortunately, no one died.
According to preliminary information, there was no head-on collision of the trains, and there was also no derailment.
The accident occurred on the section between the capital Bratislava and the town of Pezinok, which is located 20 km northeast.
A repetition of tragedy
This incident has already become the second accident in Slovakia in the past month. On October 13, two trains collided in the east of the country, resulting in 91 people being injured.
Despite the fact that no one died in this latest accident, it has sparked new outrage due to the frequent recurrence of similar incidents in the country within a short time. This once again emphasizes the need to improve safety on the railways and to take measures to prevent such tragedies in the future.
