Train Collision in Slovakia: About 100 Injured, Cause - Human Error.
Train Accident in Slovakia: Injured
According to inkorr.com: In the area of the village of Jablunov-nad-Turňou in Slovakia, two high-speed trains collided. According to information published by the 'Glavcom' resource, this event resulted in minor injuries to approximately 100 passengers.
Two of them are in critical condition, while three others remained trapped in the damaged carriages. The condition of these three victims is still unknown. Fortunately, there is currently no confirmed information about fatalities.
According to Interior Minister Matúš Szúry Estok, the cause of the accident was likely human error: one of the drivers did not yield to another train. 'Right now, I don’t want to speculate on the reasons, but according to preliminary information, it was not a systemic error, but a human one. It seems that one of the drivers made a mistake and probably did not give way to the other train, but this is just a preliminary version,' he explained.
It is worth recalling that earlier in the Smolensk region of the Russian Federation, there was an accident at a railway crossing, and in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, an accident occurred involving injuries due to a collision between a minibus and a car.
Thus, as a result of the train collision in Slovakia, about 100 passengers were injured, some of whom sustained injuries. The Interior Minister pointed to a possible human error as the cause of the incident, with two victims currently in critical condition.
This tragedy draws attention to railway safety and the importance of adhering to traffic rules. Authorities are conducting an investigation to clarify all the circumstances of the incident and to prevent similar cases in the future.
