The commander of a military unit in Odesa was caught on a fake service: what threatens him.
The commander of one of the military units in the Odesa region fictitiously registered a friend for 'fake' service in his unit. However, he was caught red-handed, and the suspect faces imprisonment.
This is reported by the State Bureau of Investigation.
Details of the case
The commander of the military unit, in order to 'help' a friend with mobilization, unjustifiably registered him as a mechanic in his military unit. For more than six months, he received payments while he was actually continuing to engage in entrepreneurial activities in the rear.
The law enforcement officers exposed the individual; currently, the damages have been fully compensated to the state. The suspect has been removed from his position.
What punishment is at stake
The individual has been notified of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of office). He faces up to three years of imprisonment.
