New outages in Kyiv due to network overload: what residents should do.
According to ТСН: In Kyiv, after a massive attack, the energy workers managed to provide power to most residents, albeit for a short time. However, on the morning of January 10, due to network overload, there was again a massive power outage.
The situation in the city's energy system was reported by the general director of the electricity supply company YASNO, Serhiy Kovalenko, on Facebook.
Night repairs and morning failure
According to Serhiy Kovalenko, repair teams worked continuously throughout the day and night. Thanks to their dedicated work, in the morning it was possible to reconnect almost all consumers who remained without electricity after the shelling.
However, the stability of the system remains vulnerable. A sharp increase in consumption in the morning caused network overload, leading to new outages in the city.
What to do if the power is still out?
Serhiy Kovalenko stressed that if your home has been without electricity since the last attack, it may be the result of an individual local failure.
Action algorithm for residents:
Make sure that the power outage is not part of a mass shutdown.
If there is no electricity at all, leave a request on the website of the distribution system operator.
Specialists have already started processing such individual requests.
“Everyone stay strong,” added the CEO of Yasno, calling on Kyiv residents to understand the challenges of recovery efforts.
We remind you, the aggressor country Russia has been shelling Kyiv for the second night in a row. The enemy has waited for the frosts and has begun to attack the city's infrastructure, purposefully targeting heating plants in Kyiv.
In the face of constant threats from aggressors and power outages, it is important to stay informed and follow updates from energy companies. Repair work is ongoing, and energy workers are doing everything possible to restore electricity supply to the homes of Kyiv residents.
