Labor veterans in Ukraine will have their benefits increased: who will receive new advantages.
Ukraine continues to provide social programs for its population even during wartime. One of such categories is labor veterans, who are entitled to various benefits and privileges after many years of work.
Who can obtain the status of a labor veteran
The status of a labor veteran is granted to individuals with sufficient work experience. The main condition is at least 35 years for women and at least 40 years for men. After that, one must retire. There is a possibility of reducing the required length of service for pensioners who have special awards or disabilities of the I and II groups.
Benefits for labor veterans include exemption from taxes, additional vacations, free medical services, preferential loans, and other advantages.
Benefits for individuals with special labor merits
Heroes of Socialist Labor, Heroes of Ukraine, and other individuals with exceptional merits receive additional payments and other benefits, such as the ability to purchase shares at face value, free treatment and education, priority fuel issuance, and more.
