The USA conducted tests of medium-range ballistic missile interception.
The USA successfully tested a medium-range ballistic missile interception system, which is important for the defense of Guam in the Pacific Ocean.
During the tests, a Standard Missile-3 Block IIA was launched, which successfully intercepted a medium-range ballistic missile. It is worth noting that the missile was manufactured by Rtx Corp.
'Earlier, Russia struck Dnipro with a medium-range ballistic missile that they called 'Oreshnik'. As a result of this strike, the enterprise 'Pivdenmash' was damaged. Ukrainian media reported that SBU employees found and are examining the missile fragments,' reported the Ukrainian press secretary of the SBU, Olena Hitlianska.
'Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the 'Oreshnik' missile is a new development and can hit even the most protected targets. When used in mass, it can have a power similar to a nuclear explosion,' Vladimir Putin said.
Investigations by journalists show that the missile warheads do not contain explosive substances.
