Every day at 9 AM Ukrainians honor the memory of all those whose lives were taken by the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Mykola Mazur.
On November 20, 2024, while defending the freedom and independence of Ukraine, the warrior from Lviv region Mykola Mazur fell. This was reported by the Lviv City Council.
Mykola Mazur was born on February 9, 1996, in the village of Korosno in Lviv region.
He studied at the Korosnyan General Secondary School of I-II degrees and at the former Secondary School No. 2 in the city of Peremyshlany. Later, he entered the Technical and Economic Vocational College of the National University 'Lviv Polytechnic' for the specialty 'Heating, Gas Supply and Ventilation'.
He initially worked as the head of a local credit institution, later in a design bureau. In his free Time, he enjoyed cooking and playing the guitar and was an avid reader.
With the onset of Russia's full-scale invasion, he took up arms to defend the state from the occupiers. He carried out combat tasks to repel Russian aggression as part of the 82nd Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He was awarded several honors from the Ministry of Defense and the command of the Air Assault Forces.
The soldier's life was cut short on November 20, 2024. The funeral service for the defender took place on November 28 at the Garrison Church of Saints Peter and Paul. The hero was buried at the Lychakiv Cemetery.
Mykola Mazur is survived by his mother, two sisters, and a nephew.

We remember those who fell at the hands of Russian invaders, lighting candles of remembrance and bowing our heads in sorrow during the nationwide moment of silence, honoring the bright memory of the citizens of Ukraine who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state: all military, civilians, and children, all who died in the fight against Russian occupiers and as a result of the hostile armies' attacks on Ukrainian towns and villages.
