Every day at 9 a.m., Ukrainians honor the memory of all those whose lives were taken by the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today we will remember Oleg Kondratiev.

On November 20, the Shepetivka community held a meeting in memory of the fallen hero - inspector of the border service of the second category, driver of the supply department of the third border detachment of the reactive multiple-launch rocket systems of the second unit of the border service (type C) of the rapid response fire support military unit, sergeant Oleg Gennadievich Kondratiev. This was reported by the Shepetivka City Council.

Oleg Gennadievich was born on January 4, 1973, in the city of Khmelnytskyi. His mother, Lydia Mykytivna, raised him alone and gave him all her love and care. Oleg received secondary special education at the Khmelnytskyi vocational technical school. After that, he served in Germany. Upon returning, he worked at a trolleybus depot and drove a taxi with his own car. He had a wife and a daughter Alina.

Oleg wanted to become a defender of his country and after the start of hostilities returned to Shepetivka, but due to health issues, he received a deferment. However, in 2023 he was mobilized and went through military training in the Khmelnytskyi region. Oleg always spoke positively about his service and was promoted to the rank of sergeant.

Despite the difficult military times, Oleg always remained an optimist and was a good friend. He also had a talent for music and played the guitar. His family remembers him as a person who always radiated joy and warmth and was a good son and father. His support and willingness to help were always felt.

On November 13, 2024, Oleg Kondratiev died as a result of shelling from an enemy drone in the Kharkiv region. His death left an unfinished song, an unwritten melody, and unachieved dreams.

Oleg left behind his mother and daughter. His daughter Alina remembers him as a kind and caring father who always kept in touch and was happy and grateful.

In honor of all fallen soldiers, 'Glavkom' joins in a moment of silence, lights candles in memory, and pays tribute to the citizens of Ukraine who gave their lives for their homeland. We remember all who died in the fight against Russian occupiers and as a result of the attack of enemy forces on Ukrainian cities and villages.
