Umerow flies to the USA: What is to be discussed with the American delegation.

According to ТСН: The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Rustem Umerow, will travel to the USA on Thursday to continue negotiations with the American side. He plans to meet with the special representative of the USA, Steve Witkoff.

Ukrainian Ambassador to the USA, Olga Stefanischina, informed about this while speaking with journalists at the US Senate. She pointed out that Umerow's meeting with the American delegation had already been planned.

"Rustem Umerow is the head of our delegation, who has no other task than to negotiate with American and European allies, and he will land in the USA tomorrow to have a repeat meeting with the delegation. Only after that can we draw any conclusions," the diplomat stressed.

Stefanischina also emphasized that Ukraine is determined to achieve a result in its pursuit of a lasting and just peace.

"It is clear that both in Ukraine and in the USA, Ukraine is focused on results. We have invested a lot of time in negotiations with the American side regarding potential agreements," she said.

The ambassador assured that Ukraine has bipartisan support in the US Congress. In the near future, laws recognizing Russia as a terrorist state and secondary sanctions against countries buying Russian energy carriers may be discussed there.

"We do not need to wait for promises from Russia. Russia has already committed enough war crimes. They have ruined negotiations in Alaska, Budapest, and honest negotiations on the 28-point peace plan," Stefanischina emphasized.

She also pointed out that US President Donald Trump will have "more levers of influence" in negotiations with Russia after the sanctions law is passed.

The negotiations in the Kremlin between American envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner lasted 5 hours, but Moscow's position has not changed. Kremlin chief Putin continues to demand Ukraine's capitulation and hopes for a change in Washington's policy towards Kiev.

Experts believe that the visit of representatives of the USA to Moscow was a multilevel signal for Donald Trump.
