GU Headquarters fighters stormed a military unit near Kyiv: what actually happened.

According to ТСН: In the outskirts of Kyiv, a disturbance occurred between representatives of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) and servicemen of one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over a disputed base object.

According to available information, GUR representatives entered the territory of the object, broke down the gates, damaged the fence, and opened fire both in the air and on the ground. As a result of these actions, 10 servicemen were captured, suffering serious injuries.

According to one source, GUR fighters refused to allow law enforcement representatives onto the territory. Another source added that military law enforcement service (VSP) and the State Bureau of Investigations (DBR) were called to the scene, but DBR representatives did not appear.

“VSP reported that both sides of the conflict have rights to rent this territory, and no one is making claims. The resolution of the conflict is handled by the Central Office of VSP,” said the second informant.

It was also reported that the Deputy Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, arrived at the scene.

What GUR says

Representatives of GUR commented that the owner of the land plot made a direct agreement with one of the military units for the duration of martial law.

“According to current legislation, these agreements do not require additional approvals. The documents of representatives of other formations have been annulled by the military administration. All available documents of our unit have been provided to the representatives of the police, VSP of Kyiv, and the military administration with corresponding explanations,” GUR claims.

Intelligence emphasized that their servicemen are on the object legally. However, GUR warns that disclosing information about the locations of security and defense forces may endanger the lives of personnel.

Police confirmed the fact of shooting, but details are not disclosed. Earlier, it was also reported that GUR attacked Russian equipment in Donbas.

This situation reflects the escalation of tensions between different military units amid the war. The issue of rights to use territories during wartime remains complex and can lead to similar conflicts that require urgent resolution by military and state administration.
