According to TSN.ua: Police in Lviv have detained a 44-year-old man who fired a non-lethal firearm during a dispute with a 41-year-old local resident. The incident occurred on March 8 at approximately 4:30 PM on Haydamatska Street. During the conflict, the victim sustained gunshot wounds to the abdominal cavity.
The assailant was reportedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crime. The detention was carried out under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. According to Ukrainian law, the potential sentence for this offense, under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code, ranges from three to seven years imprisonment.
There was no escape, as police responded swiftly to the call, enabling them to apprehend the suspect at the scene. The shooting caused alarm among residents of the area who witnessed the event.
