In August 2025, certain pensioners will receive a one-time financial aid for Independence Day of Ukraine in the amount of 1,000 UAH. The payment will be automatically credited, and the funds will be sent to their card along with their pension. Many are interested in whether this aid will be counted as income, which may affect the amount of their subsidy.
The Pension Fund of Ukraine explained which incomes are taken into account when calculating the average monthly total income of the household for the purpose of granting a subsidy:
- wages;
- financial support for military personnel;
- pension;
- scholarship, except for social ones provided to orphans and children without parental care;
- social benefits, including allowances for utility services and others;
- unemployment benefits and other insurance payments;
- money transfers from abroad;
- dividends from securities;
- other income, including land rent and property sales, etc.
Pensioners were clarified that the one-time monetary payment for Independence Day of Ukraine is not taken into account as income when granting subsidies, so it will not affect its size.
Other important details regarding payments for Independence Day can be found online. It is also worth checking who may not receive the one-time aid without submitting an application.
