Sukhomlyn refuted the cost of housing for IDPs: real figures named

According to inkorr.com: Serhiy Sukhomlyn, former mayor of Zhytomyr and now head of the State Agency for Reconstruction and Infrastructure Development, commented on the publication on the 'Glavkom' website regarding new social housing for IDPs, stating that it contains inaccuracies. It concerns price calculations for housing construction.

The material discussed the high price of construction materials, which leads to an increase in the final cost of housing for IDPs - 68 thousand UAH per square meter.

Sukhomlyn clarified that the real cost of one square meter is 57.5 thousand UAH, and without taking furniture and equipment into account - 33.5 thousand UAH per square meter. This price includes a furnished apartment, as well as important aspects such as shelter and building height, which directly affect the cost per square meter.

Assistance in the development of social housing

According to Sukhomlyn, work on interior finishing and other tasks continues in three buildings in Zhytomyr, while the fourth is already ready, with completed roof installation. These buildings are being prepared for living, equipped with furniture and household appliances.

It is also planned to provide barrier-free access to all buildings, including special apartments on the first floors for people with disabilities. The implementation of the housing development program in Ukraine, funded by the European Union, will be handled by the State Agency under the leadership of the Northern Environmental Financial Corporation.

Serhiy Sukhomlyn's statement regarding inaccuracies in the cost calculations for social housing for IDPs, published on the 'Glavkom' website, emphasizes the importance of objective information in the construction process. At the same time, work on the construction of new residential premises continues, ensuring all necessary conditions for comfortable living. In particular, measures have been planned to ensure barrier-free access for all residents, including people with disabilities.
