Significant Disdain from Society — Veteran on the Problems of Amputee Fighters.

Veterans Face Challenges
Veteran Mykola 'Eneyko' Kobylnyk shared his thoughts on the problems faced by soldiers returning from war with severe injuries, particularly limb loss. He sees the main issue as the acceptance of such individuals in society.
According to 'Eneyko', one of the reasons for this problem is the lack of mutual understanding between civilians and military personnel, which complicates the adaptation of injured fighters. He emphasizes that it is especially difficult for these individuals in a society that is not ready for their new reality. The veteran also notes that online platforms aimed at supporting veterans significantly ease their lives by helping to solve many everyday difficulties quickly and effectively.
'You get out of the car or enter the entrance of the building, and very rarely can someone lend a hand or offer help. Often there is a feeling of disdain.'
'Guys who have lost limbs face a significant perception challenge in a society that is not ready for such a person.'
The mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovyi, spoke about the statistics of military personnel with disabilities in Lviv and presented strategic plans for supporting this category of defenders. The UNBROKEN GAMES competitions also took place in Lviv — a sports event dedicated to veterans and military personnel who have suffered due to the war.
Ukrainian military veterans returning with severe injuries face problems of social acceptance and a lack of understanding between civilians and military. Support and participation in specialized events can help ease their adaptation and life in new conditions.
