Swedish funeral organizations are preparing for war
Considering the recommendations of the Church of Sweden and the guidelines of the Civil Protection Agency and the Armed Forces, funeral organizations in Sweden are planning to acquire additional plots of land. The law requires funeral service associations to ensure burial for 5% of the population of each parish. The Gothenburg Association plans to acquire 40,470 sq. m of land for the burial of 30,000 people in case of war. However, the establishment of a cemetery may take up to 10 years.

The Minister of Civil Defense and the Commander-in-Chief of the Swedish Army warn of a possible war. Russian President Vladimir Putin also declares the likelihood of a nuclear conflict. The government of Sweden takes these threats seriously and has begun planning for evacuation and the transportation of cultural valuables in case of military threat. At the same Time, Russia is conducting exercises simulating an attack on Finland and the Baltic countries. U.S. President Joe Biden stated that U.S. security assistance could help Ukraine overcome the Russian threat.
