Sweden introduces strict rules for refugees. How to obtain asylum now.

Sweden changes asylum application rules
The government of Sweden and the 'Sweden Democrats' party propose a new bill that changes the rules for obtaining asylum in the country. According to this bill, individuals who have been denied asylum will only be able to apply again after five years, and during this Time, they cannot remain in Sweden. Johan Forssell, the Minister for International Development, Cooperation, and Trade, stated that these proposals will promote the return of individuals who have been denied asylum to their home countries and reduce the number of unfounded asylum applications.
These legislative changes are set to come into effect on April 1, 2025. Ludwig Aspling, a member of the 'Sweden Democrats' party, stated that this will prevent the possibility of illegally residing in Sweden while waiting for a new hearing of the case. Currently, the law requires 'rejectees' to wait at least four years and remain outside the country during this time.
The most significant change will be that the countdown of the waiting period will begin from the moment the foreigner returns to the country from which they were ordered to return. This is usually the country of their birth.
The government and the 'Sweden Democrats' party also wish to abolish the possibility of applying for a work permit in Sweden for individuals who have been denied asylum. Currently, this affects 1,200 people. Additionally, the bill proposes to increase the entry ban period to the country from five years in the event that a 'rejectee' has not voluntarily left Sweden by the established deadline.
It is worth noting that Ukrainian refugees are successfully adapting to life in Sweden. Many of them have found jobs, and most already speak Swedish. Surveys have shown that the majority of Ukrainians are satisfied with their living situation and do not plan to relocate.
